Time to Talk

At The Parkgate Academy we strongly believe that children need to be happy and emotionally secure in order for them to be able to learn. We have strategies in place to ensure that children in school have someone to talk to if they are feeling anxious or worried about anything. We are also able to access external support for children who are finding things difficult.

We Aim To

Levels of Support

Universal Support

To meet the needs of all our pupils through our overall ethos and our wider curriculum. For instance, developing resilience for all.

Additional Support

For those who may have short-term needs and those who may have been made vulnerable by life experiences such as bereavement.

Targeted Support

For pupils who need more differentiated support and resources or specific targeted interventions such as well-being groups or personal mentors.

External Support

We are also able to access external support for children who may have a more complex range of needs.

Mrs Bowler is also able to offer support with referrals to outside agencies or, they can be accessed directly by parents/carers.  Please see contact details and web sites below for further information.
