This year in Year 4 we are looking at a range of topics. In the first half of the autumn term, we shall be learning about how precious water is; studying Japan, the destination for this summer’s Olympic Games; making cam mechanisms and learning about Hinduism. We have a visitor coming into school to enhance the children’s understanding of Hinduism in a variety of fun ways.
During our reading sessions, we will continue to explore a variety of texts. Reading is something we love to do and we thank those who are supporting the love of reading with their children at home. We ask you to continue listening to your child read daily and write a note in their diary to let their teacher know how they got on.
In Year 4, P.E now takes place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. It is very important that each child brings their own P.E kit (Navy shorts, white t-shirt and plimsoles). We ask that P.E kits are kept in school and taken home to be washed at the end of each half-term.
