This year in Year 3 we are looking at a range of topics.  In the autumn term, we shall be learning about the transition from Stone Age to Iron Age.  Rivers and Mountains will be our topic in the spring term, where we will be learning about a mountainous climate, how tourism affects mountain regions and looking at how a river is formed.

Year 3 will be heading to Creswell Crags on September 14th. Here we will take part in activities such as spear-throwing, shelter building and exploring Robin Hood’s Cave. In addition to this, we will be taking a trip to the River Maun to identify the features of a river.

Reading is something we love to do and we really hope you can share this experience with your child. We ask you to listen to your child read daily and write a note in their diary to let the teacher know how they got on.

In Year 3, P.E is done every week. It is very important that each child brings their own P.E kit (shorts, t-shirt and plimsoles) and keeps this in school each half term.
