Love to teach? The Forge Trust could be the route into teaching you have been looking for, offering initial teacher training across the primary age range, we believe that the professional development on offer is second to none.
With six academies situated across the East Midlands to choose from, we believe this offers you the choice of a base-school that meets your needs and also provides the certainty of placement not generally available through other routes.
As well as having a proven track record for developing students and helping launch the careers of a large number of outstanding professionals, many students have been successful in finding places with us after graduation. Some of whom have been identified as having leadership potential and have gone on to secure posts as Assistant Principals and Teaching and Learning Leads.
As a school direct trainee with Forge, you will be part of talented team that prides itself on teaching and learning know-how. An evidence based approach to teaching and learning has been honed over a number of years, initially at the founding school, in which a dramatic turn-around in pupil outcomes occurred in a relatively short space of time.
We believe clarity of expectation is crucial. Our “Teaching and Learning Toolkit” outlines proven approaches that lead to outstanding outcomes. Experienced mentors across the trust will take you through approaches to teaching, in a step-by- step way to support your learning journey. Mentors work with our students to personalise the input they deliver, while at the same time a bank of outstanding teachers across the trust, provide school-based training on a range of themes from assessment and planning through to working with parents.
